Explanatory documents, diagrams and links provide background information on the organization and contents of the database. These documents already explain how WTO data will be incorporated in the database even though WTO data is not yet available for download at this stage.
Certain data in the AMIS policy database were retrieved from existing WTO or OECD databases. In particular, all data on import tariffs, tariff quotas, export subsidies and in-quota tariffs come directly from WTO databases and can be accessed through the Tariff Analysis Online facility. The selected data on producer and consumer support originate from OECD’s Producer and Consumer Support Estimates database. Data on export restrictions are based on OECD’s Inventory of Restrictions on Exports of Raw Materials. Links to these databases and their detailed methodology documents can be found below:
